As the founder of Adrenaline Fitness NY, I'd like to thank you for visiting my site. I came to the U.S. in 1995 to study journalism at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. Almost instantly, I was hired to teach group exercise for Fit Physique, a D.C. company specializing in bringing fitness and group exercise to the corporate world, as well as for the health club City Fitness. My experience as a dancer, group-exercise instructor, and personal trainer in Sweden - my birth country - helped me achieve such positions here so quickly. Within short, I was not only certified by Scandinavian organizations to give fitness instruction, but I had also become an A.C.E.- certified group fitness instructor.

After a year of school and fitness on the East Coast, I relocated to Los Angeles. Here I continued my journalism studies at Santa Monica College and group-exercise instruction in a variety of locations, primarily at the Beverly Hills Country Club and at LA Fitness. While teaching body sculpting, cardio dance, and step classes, I was approached to train clients one-on-one. It was during this time that I met the person that would strongly influence my personal training and fitness education, namely, John Platero, one of the nation's top fitness authorities. I immediately took his workshop and certification Future Fit. While mentoring me, he encouraged me to add the N.A.S.M. (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal training certification and to become a post-rehab fitness specialist. Not long thereafter, I had my own personal training Web site www.bodiesbyjulia.com, a site that attracted many of Hollywood's top producers and agents, as well as lawyers and actors. In addition to training clients in their homes and at hotels through my web site, I began working at Crunch Fitness in West Hollywood as one of their staff-trainers.

Having spent five and a half years in California, I decided to move back to the East Coast, or more specifically, to New York. Well aware of that Reebok Sports Club/NY is the best health club around, I approached them and was instantly hired. I'm now working with clients as well as teaching classes in NYC. I'm pleased to say that I was promoted to become an Advantage Trainer (Movement Specialist) at Reebok Sports Club/NY after only six months of employment. Here I became certified in muscle activation technique and most recently I became a Medical Exercise Specialist. At the moment I'm studying to become a Paul Chek Holistic Lifestyle and Nutrition Coach.
